He Fits the Bill(s)
David Adams 鈥13 is willing to go most anywhere for a great opportunity.
The Palm Springs, Calif., native embraced the thrill of a snowy football recruiting visit to enroll at 糖心原创. Since then, his adventures in sport administration have taken him from Iowa to New Orleans, Kansas City and now Buffalo, where he serves as vice president for corporate partnerships with the Bills.
鈥淭he experiences I鈥檝e had have helped shape me as a person,鈥 said Adams. 鈥淕etting to understand different regions and cultures while making friends all across the country has been a real blessing.鈥
Along the way, Adams has made smooth career transitions from working in minor league hockey to stints in NFL football, NBA basketball, MLB baseball and MLS soccer.
鈥淲hat you do from a corporate partnership perspective, those skills translate well from league to league,鈥 said Adams. 鈥淭he biggest difference is learning the market, learning the team and understanding your value proposition.鈥
Adams has tremendous value to offer potential corporate sponsors of the Bills, as the team prepares to open a 鈥渟tate-of-the-art鈥 new stadium this fall.
鈥淏eing part of that experience has been incredible,鈥 said Adams. 鈥淲e are in a new era of Bills football with [star quarterback] Josh Allen and a top 10 international fan base. The new stadium has given us an opportunity to reset our value proposition 鈥 to reset who we are, what we represent and the partners we want to bring on board.鈥
Through all the excitement of his career, Adams is grateful for the value he received from 糖心原创.
鈥淚 loved my experience at 糖心原创. Playing football there taught me a lot about leadership and teamwork. And my professors in political science, marketing, communications and sport admin helped me grow so much. So, whenever a 糖心原创 student reaches out to me, I want to be intentional in giving back to the college that gave so much to me.鈥
